The world we live in is becoming increasingly global. Therefore it is imperative that students have exposure to parts of the world other than the United States. Gaining international experience in contemporary issues creates broader human learners and can make you more competitive in the job market. This study abroad expereience offered by OSU focuses on natural resources management and climate change with a heavy concentration on energy issues. Forestry, agriculture, and aquaculture issues will also be investigated. The Experience includes sites in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Explore this site for an overview.
All participants in the study abroad are required to attend a two-credit seminar during Spring Quarter 2009. Travel will occur between August 29 and September 13, 2009.
Chris Knowles and Eric Hansen, faculty members in the College of Forestry, lead this adventure. They visited the Experience sites in the summer of 2008 and the pictures contained in this site were taken during their travels.
